Acupuncture can be a wonderful therapy for children. We can tailor treatment according to the child’s age, stage of development, and comfort with the treatment. Newborns, toddlers, preschoolers, elementary-aged kids, preteens, and teens will all benefit from Acupuncture. Our Registered Acupuncturist, Sandy Longworth, is also trained in Early Childhood Education as well as skilled at putting children at ease to decrease any anxiety or fear associated with the needles used for acupuncture. Sometimes she does not use needles to treat babies and small children but rather non-invasive Acupuncture techniques such as traditional Chinese Medicine Tuina massage, Myopulse treatment, and Acupressure.

Acupuncture is very effective for lots of common childhood health issues, as well as a great alternative to the Flue Shoot. Here are some of the common issues we treat: Abdominal Pain, ADHD, Allergies, Anxiety, Asthma, Constipation/Diarrhea, Crohn’s, Cystic Fibrosis, Endometriosis, Headaches/Migraines, Hormonal disorders of all kinds, Neuropathic Pain, Rheumatologic conditions, Acute or Chronic pain of any kind.
